Born on June 2, 2018, Zarrah is where Campbell’s Family Dobermans truly began. Our journey to bring her home took us all the way to Dallas, Texas, where I—yes, me—got my first taste of first-class treatment, courtesy of my husband’s obvious preference for her. But let’s be honest, Zarrah probably deserved it; she arrived with sass, spirit, and a good dose of attitude, instantly making it clear to every creature around who was boss.

Her first year with us was… memorable. So memorable, in fact, we actually considered rehoming her. She was a little terror, stubbornly doing things her way. But Zarrah had other plans. When a prospective new owner came to meet her, Zarrah turned her back on the poor woman the entire time. Every time the lady called her, she’d just throw me a look over her shoulder like, “Really, Mom? Her?” Needless to say, Zarrah stayed, and from that day on, she was the perfect dog. Loyal, loving, and a fierce leader for our pack.

Zarrah is a true matriarch, radiating strength, wisdom, and the kind of calm confidence that commands respect. She’s got high drive, but she’s also the gentlest soul you could ever meet, standing beside you forever if there’s a chance for a good butt scratch. With three litters under her collar (and one more on the way, her grand finale), she’s given us the finest pups we could ask for. 

Once her final litter arrives, Zarrah will trade in her pack leadership duties for a well-earned retirement with us, where she can bask in all the love she’s given us tenfold. We couldn’t have asked for a better foundation for Campbell’s Family Dobermans, and we’ll forever be grateful that Zarrah decided to choose us.
